In an ongoing study, HERS received reports of the experiences of 1,000 women who responded to HERS Questionnaire. These women were ages 12 to 84 at the time of the surgery and were hysterectomized from less than one year to 33 years prior to participating in the study. The reports document the far-reaching effects of hysterectomy and female castration on women and society.
